Team Velominati is a proud supporter of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and the groundbreaking work it does to eradicate cancer from our lives once and for all.
Team Velominati rides in honor and memory of all of the people whom our teammates hold most dear. What brings us together as a team is friendship and the common bond of honoring and remembering that life is precious and if we can help those in need in any way possible, then we stand ready to do just that. Cancer is a disease that sadly targets everyone, so we must be extra diligent in the work we do to ultimately kill cancer off once and for all. And since diligence and commitment are what the PMC and Team Velominati are all about and the PMC goal this year is to exceed $1.0 Billion in total funds raised since 1980, Team Velominati has set it's own record team fundraising goal of $1,000,000 for the 2024 campaign.
That $1,000,000 team donation will go to pure cancer research at one of the world's most cutting edge facilities, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dana Farber has a beyond spectacular track record of success and they give away all their research because their one goal, their only goal, is the same as our collective goal: To wipe Cancer off the face of the earth.
But reaching that lofty goal starts with folks like you who want to stand up and truly make a difference.
So please give as generously as you can to support and honor all of your friends and family who have been, or are currently in the fight for their lives. And please keep this in mind when you donate: Unlike so many other charities with massive staffs and overhead, the PMC has carried a coveted, almost unheard of 100% efficiency rating for the last 17 years. That means that for every dollar you graciously donate to us in support of the PMC, 100 pennies goes directly to Dana Farber. That is why the PMC rocks. They honor your generous donation by making sure every penny counts and there's literally no better place to invest those funds than at Dana Farber.
