In March 2024, my mother, Lois Zenkel, lost her 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Our family determined to make something positive come out of this and decided to seek out a way to support a cure for pancreatic cancer. It eamed up with my friend, Earl Grossman, a longtime Pan-Mass Challenge participant, to create the TEam Velominati Pancreatic Cancer Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Center. In 2024, the Team Velominati Fund raised $350,000 to support Dr. Ben Schecter's pancreatic cancer research at Dana Farber. At the same time, I committed to participate in this year's Pan-Mass Ride, a 2-day, 191 mile ride from Sturbridge, MA to the tip of Cape Cod. More than #5,000 partiipants from across the coutnry and the world will participate in this year's ride and will raise more than $100 million to support Dana Farber's work. Please join me, my family and friends in raising money to support this deadly disease, the 3rd most common cause of cancer deaths.
