Who Wolf Greenfield Is
Wolf Greenfield is a full-service intellectual property law firm with unmatched technical know-how. Since our founding in 1927, we have been unilaterally focused on helping our clients protect their most important assets: intellectual property. The only thing as important to us as serving clients with our deep technical experience is our culture of inclusiveness and collegiality, and a commitment to public service.
We support many clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and we work with a number of leading institutions in the healthcare space, including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). We help DFCI’s researchers protect the intellectual property that helps fuel their cutting-edge cancer research. We are fortunate to be able to partner with those at the forefront of so many important life sciences innovations, witnessing firsthand the evolution of cutting-edge cancer treatments and technologies.
Many of our practitioners’ daily engagements with clients in this space underscore the pivotal role patents and trademarks play in driving forward advancements in healthcare and essential research. While navigating the complexities of IP, we witness the intricate process of translating scientific breakthroughs into tangible solutions and trusted brands for patients. Through our work, we not only help protect groundbreaking inventions, but also contribute to the broader mission of improving patient outcomes and saving lives.
We began as a family firm, and though we’ve grown by leaps and bounds, our firm is still a place where people know not only each other’s names, but the names of each other’s children and which sports they play. We also understand the responsibility we have in helping our communities thrive and we have a passion for helping others. Our commitment to making a positive impact together starts within our own walls. Through our dedication to volunteerism, we aim to build and promote a positive firm culture, where teamwork, community, and collaboration are at the forefront.
Who Our Riders Are
We are honored to ride together for the first time as Team Wolf Pack to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at DFCI.
The inaugural Team Wolf Pack brings together people from across different offices, practice groups, firm functions, and generations. The team includes: Alyssa Champagne (Client Services); Cara Dawson (Biotech); Frankie Householder (Client Services); Lindsay Howard (Legal Recruiting & Professional Development); Jas Lee (Chemical & Materials); Christina Licursi (Trademark & Copyright; Team Captain); Mike Pomianek (Chemical & Materials); Dan Rudoy; (Electrical & Computer Tech) Caitlin Schneider (Biotech); Andrew Williams (Biotech); and, Dan Young (Biotech). Non-WGS riders joining us this year include: Jennifer Buell (spouse: Christina Licursi); Kristen Vincent (spouse: Chelsea Loughran, Litigation).
Why We Ride
Through our work and in our lives, we have the privilege of knowing countless individuals who have made it their mission to blaze a path for patients, to contribute to science, to participate in clinical trials, and to challenge convention. Each of us will be riding many miles over the course of one or two days to raise money for all the extraordinary work being done by the DFCI to fuel cutting-edge cancer research.
We ride because we understand the importance and impact of the work and research done at DFCI. We ride for everyone who has been touched by cancer. We ride for our two Team Wolf Pack Living Proof riders, Mike and Kristen. We ride because we know that every dollar and every mile matter in the fight against cancer.
Since 1980, the PMC has raised over $972 million for cancer research. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the United States. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to Dana-Farber. Team Wolf Pack will help the PMC pass the $1 Billion mark this spring.
If you'd like to support Team Wolf Pack in the 2024 PMC, you can click on the e-Gift tab and use our Team account Number “TWO0235.” You can also donate to an individual Wolf Pack rider by clicking on a rider and using their e-Gift ID number.
Other Ways You Can Participate
Here are two more ways you can help support the cause of cancer care and research - they will cost you nothing but a bit of your time...
1) Register As A PMC Virtual Rider - We invite you to join us on Team Wolf Pack as a Virtual Rider for the 2024 PMC. There is no registration fee and no minimum fundraising requirement. As a Virtual Rider, you will be able to create your own PMC Profile page where you can share your story of how cancer has impacted your life. You can create your own personal challenge - a bike ride, a hike, a run, etc. and set your own personal fundraising target.
To Register: https://www.pmc.org/virtual-riders
2) Volunteer - The PMC would not be possible without the thousands of dedicated volunteers who donate their time and energy to support the event during PMC weekend and throughout the year.
By volunteering for the PMC, you transform your energy, compassion, and encouragement into furthering cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
