I am proud to virtually participate in the PMC alongside my co-workers from Wolf Greenfield! The cause is deeply important to me, as the PMC raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country, all going towards cancer research.
Cancer has taken one of best friends and role models from me, Phil Baker. I think of Phil often and wish that I had more time to spend speaking to and learning from him. I hold my memories of Phil close with me and he will always be a constant inspiration in my life.
I am also constantly inspired my uncle Stan, who beat stage IV cancer and can ride the legs off of just about anyone. Stan introduced my to mountain biking and always pushed me to ride faster and go further. He beat cancer and got right back on his bike. He too, is an inspiration for me, athletically and in life.
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases. Scientific research saves lives and is especially important to support, now, more than ever.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact! Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal.
