Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.
Since 2011 our PMC team has raised over $1.4 million of those dollars for Dana-Farber!
For 2024, our team goal is $200,000.
Our team has a new name: A Street Hospitality–it includes all our restaurants–and an energized team with a crew of 15 riders!
Some of us are new to road biking, some are devoted cyclists and some reluctantly dust off our bikes and pedal 200 miles every year. Each one of us will ride for deeply personal reasons. Collectively we will ride to raise as many dollars from our generous, constant and new donors as we can to change the course of medical history and stop cancer in its tracks. And we ride for you. All of us commit so a cure for cancer will be found.
There’s no way around putting in the training hours. Dressed in skin-tight spandex, with butts in saddles and feet clipped into pedals, we’ll ride more miles and hills than we ever imagined we could. It may be too hot, too cold, too windy, too rainy, too humid. It will be painful and beautiful, tedious and fun, frustrating and rewarding, movingly sad and joyful and it will be love. For some of us, this will be a personal best, the longest two-day ride of our lives. For others, it will be a renewal of a promise made last year--fighting cancer. On August 3rd and 4th, 2024 we’ll join the force of 6,000 riders on the road and 4,000 volunteers taking care of us, and we will make a difference. In the end, we’ll all be veterans.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is more than 60 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.
