Colon cancer took my father, Jerome Winegar, in 2016. My mother, Isabel, fought bravely and with incredible dignity until she succumbed in 2020. Everyone I know has lost loved ones to this insiduous disease. Their pain, a constant reminder of how devastating cancer is. Cancer doesn't care; we have to.
