Team Suzy-Q was formed in honor of Sue Ellen Lyons. Sue was diagnosed in May 2006 with acute Myelogenous leukemia (AML). Sue underwent treatments including a bone marrow transplant at Dana-Farber. Although Sue lost her battle with AML, she was encouraged and grateful for the support and generous contributions from so many of you. She was keenly aware of her chances for survival and the role DFCI research and treatment would play in her fight.

Sue took great satisfaction knowing that the money raised might not only help her, but give an opportunity to help prevent cancer from taking another loved one.

The memory of Sue will stay in our hearts forever and will continue to be the source of strength behind our fundraising efforts. We ride for our family and friends lost to cancer and especially Todd Doten a twelve year Team Suzy Q rider to metastatic meloma in 2021.
