60 yrs old and my 6th year riding....must be a good sign!  

This year I ride again in memory of my husband, Todd Doten, who proudly rode in the PMC for over a decade. Todd raised thousands of dollars with the hope and honest belief that every dollar brings us closer to the cure. Research funded by PMC dollars were the backbone of many of the treatments and procedures Todd had during his battle with metastatic melanoma. We were given months that in the past would not have been possible and for that Emily and I are forever grateful.

But this year I also ride for so many of my friends who have or are currently battling breast cancer.  As a five year breast cancer survivor myself I can tell you that the research being done at Dana Farber is nothing short of life saving.  The treatments and medications developed and researched at Dana Farber and shared throughtout the oncology community have changed the outcome for so many of us. But as far as we have come there is still much work to be done. Please help us honor Todd and so many of our friends by helping others have a chance against this awful disease. 

I am proud to again be riding with Team Suzy Q. Our team was formed to honor Sue Ellen Lyons who was diagnosed in May 2006 with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). She underwent treatment including a bone marrow transplant at Dana-Farber in Boston. Sadly Sue-Ellen lost her battle with leukemia. For the past 17years Suzy Q riders have completed the PMC raising over $500,000 in her memory.
