I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Team Ovarian Cancer was started because of two amazing women, Mara Castello and Janet Snider. Janet just passed recently from Ovarian Cancer and Mara is in the Dream Factory Community and has Ovarian Cancer. Mara and Nancy Cantor have banded together to support research to treat it and find a cure.Our funds are being designated to Ursula Matulonis, MD, who is Chief of Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Dana Farber whose department is at work on several new protocols for Ovarian Cancer.
Every journey begins with a first step, so we decided to create this PMC team to work on innovative treatments. We could not be happier to partner with Dr. Matulonis, who has dedicated her life to researching Ovarian Cancer and ways of treating it. We have selected a protocol that is based on Immunology that focuses on enhancing the power of Natural Killer Cells that naturally kill cancer cells. It is very close to being submitting to the FDA and your donation will fund that.
