Why I Ride ...
We ride in memory of our dad and cousin, Tom Gilroy, who fiercely and courageously battled glioblastoma and passed away on October 17, 2024. His fight inspired us to start riding in the PMC in 2023 and create this team in his honor. We will miss seeing his smile one mile from the finish line in Bourne, cheering us on. Thanks to PMC funded research and the care of Dana-Farber, we were able to get precious extra time with him. We will continue to ride in his memory in the hopes that there will be a cure one day.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
