This is our family’s ninth year participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge. Each year, we become more inspired to ride the ~200 miles because the sad reality is that each year, we know more people who are fighting or have lost their lives to the disease. After being inspired by Marty’s, and recently Bill’s brother David’s battles with cancer, we all witnessed firsthand the tremendous care they received and the importance of donating to the research that saves lives- including theirs. We all believe this cause is too important to sit on the sidelines.
We ride to celebrate cancer survivors, support those currently battling the disease, and honor those who have lost their lives to the disease.
Far too many of our friends, their friends, and families have been adversely affected by cancer.
Our two-day bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown, Massachusetts, raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund. All the money raised (100% of it) will go directly to the Dana Farber Research Group. The money raised affects doctors' and researchers' ability to find cures and treatments for cancer.
We know you get solicited by many people and organizations for charitable donations. Many of you have donated to us in years past and for that we are deeply grateful. We hope you will once again consider supporting our family as we take on the Pan-Mass Challenge.
Together, we can:
- Develop New Treatments
- Create Better Outcomes
- And Generate More Hope
