Team Beans was started by Andrew Kaczynski and Rachel Ensign to honor their baby girl Francesca “Beans” Kaczynski. Beans passed away on December 24, 2020 after a brave and courageous fight with ATRT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor) - an aggressive and rare brain tumor typically seen in infants. Beans was just 9-months old.
Together, the Team Beans community has raised over $2.5 million for the Team Beans Infant Brain Tumor Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every dollar we raise for this ride will go directly to pediatric cancer research and treatment.
The doctors tell Andrew this funding is already making a huge difference. Each clinical trial and research effort gets us closer to better treatments and to a world where fewer families have bear the loss of their child or watch them suffer through harsh treatments.
Please help us continue this momentum in 2024!
You can still purchase a #TeamBeans Beanie to honor Francesca. Proceeds will go directly to Team Beans. Once you receive your beanie, we encourage you to post a photo on social media using #TeamBeans. We would love to see it.
We welcome you to join, support, and cheer on Team Beans as we continue our mission of raising money for life-saving cancer research and treatment. If you’re interested in riding for Team Beans - either virtually or at PMC - please reach out to Laura Vigilante (vigilante.laura@gmail.com).
Thank you for your support.
With love and gratitude,
#TeamBeans
