Dear Friends: I am excited to ride in the 2024 Pan Mass Challenge from Sturbridge to Provincetown on August 3 and 4. Helle and I will join more than 6,000 riders to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. I am so grateful that I am healthy, strong, and ready for the upcoming weekend. In 2013, when I became a cancer patient through my diagnosis with angiosarcoma, and again in 2020, when I had a recurrence, it was far from certain that I would ride my bike this year. But thanks to my fantastic treatment team and a clinical trial only available at Dana-Farber, I am ready. My goal this year is to raise $10,000 for sarcoma research and patient care at Dana-Farber. Please donate to my PMC ride at http://profile.pmc.org/GW0027. Your donation is tax-deductible. If you prefer to write a check, please make it out to the PMC, The Jimmy Fund or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and mail it to me directly at Wolfram Goessling, 3 Spooner Road, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467 I also want to invite you to a special screening of the documentary film “Facing Cancer” by award-winning German film maker Volker Heise in the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline on September 15 at 4 pm. Just like the PMC itself, this film aims to raise awareness of cancer and build the community and support it takes to conquer it. The film illustrates the story of my illness, it features me and many members of my caregiving team. I am excited for this event, and I hope you can join us! Thank you for all your support and friendship! Wolfram Check out my research on liver cancer! If you can read German, info about my book, published last spring, is here: https://www.rowohlt.de/buch/dr-wolfram-goessling-am-leben-bleiben-9783499006050
