Why I Ride 186 miles over 2 days ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. I ride my inaugural ride because my mother in law, Carol Patti, died of breast cancer in her 60s, in 1995, when our daughter Caroline was just 2 weeks old. Also my wife's uncle, Conrad Tota, passed away in March 2023, in his 80s,
from small cell carninoma of the lung. So for me the cause is personal.
I am riding as part of team Oofos/Duncan -with all the funds going towards breast cancer research. I'll be riding with my triathlon training partner Peter Bloom. Peter's wife Denise is a breast cancer survivor. Peter's cross country college teammate owns a footwear company called Oofos and one of the first employees named Duncan died 4-5 yrs ago from breast cancer.
