2023 will be my 2nd PMC ride. The first was back in 2016 when I rode for Lisa who had been diagnised with (ovarian) cancer in the summer of 2015. She dealt with numerous operations and chemo treatments, had the support of amazing nurses and doctors, and, most importantly, kept her positive spirit. Like always, she put others above herself and battled her disease with strength, humor, kindness, poise and grace. Despite her optimism and toughness, she unfortunately passed away in the spring of 2020 (obituary). It was a tremendous loss for our family, friends and the community.

The search for a cure continues despite this crushing loss. This year, I will be riding with my oldest son Clayton. We will ride in Lisa's honor, for all of those who we know (or don't) who are facing their own battles, and for the medical and research teams dedicated to treating and curing cancer patients.
