In August, I will be riding my 2nd PMC in memory of my mom, Lisa Hafer, who passed away in 2020 after a long battle with cancer. I am riding to honor her strength, determination, and positive spirit; some of her best qualities that I witnessed throughout her treatment and life in general, and ones that I hope to replicate myself.

I took up biking during the pandemic shortly after she passed and did some short rides with her ~ 30 year-old Trek as a way to privately think about her life, how she made mine better, and how I would miss her. So I'm riding this year keeping those thoughts in mind and knowing she will be with me in spirit.
