This August I will be riding my 18th PMC.  My first was in 2008, the year after my sister Debby died of brain cancer at age 46, and I’ve been riding across eastern Massachusetts and fundraising each year thereafter. I also remember my Mom, who passed away of Leukemia shortly after the 2021 PMC, and we also cherish her legacy and all the love and attention she devoted to remembering and celebrating Debby every summer during the PMC weekend. My Mother loved PMC weekend! She planned meticulously and looked forward to hosting an overflowing house every summer. Neither my sister nor my Mom enjoyed attention on themselves but loved showering attention upon others so it is ironic that we do this in their memories. This will also be the first PMC without my Father, who was everyone’s biggest fan and supporter. He also survived two Cancers himself in his long and blessed life. So it is a full and exciting weekend on the Cape which we look forward to, plan for, and cherish every year. For my siblings and my nieces and nephews, it has been healing for us to remember Debby and Charlotte, and now Ted Teplow in this annual, August tradition. We gather as a team of friends and family at our Scraggy Neck Cape home between two long days of biking to the tip of the Cape and we celebrate, honor, and remember the people we love so much in what has now become part of our family’s fabric.

Collectively as a team, over the past 18 years, we are proud to have passed $2.2 Million in funds raised for direct support of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
