Welcome to my Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) fundraising page! If you've supported my past fundraising efforts, you'll notice that my running shoes have been replaced with cycling shoes. My endurance event-based fundraising really has come full circle, as the person who - in 2012 - suggested I run the Boston Marathon, originally suggested I participate in PMC. Sumary of the conversation below:

TC: Are you a cyclist?

ZT: No, I'm more of a runner. Why do you ask?

TC: I was going to tell you participate in the PMC, but if you're a runner you should sign up to run the Boston Marathon.

And thus began my relationship with running marathons and fundraising for cancer-focused organizations that has changed my life in truly unimaginable ways. 13 years after that conversation, I'll be participating in my first PMC i.e. cycling 186 miles from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA over two days with thousands of other riders.

As always, I'm riding and fundraising in memory and honor of my dad, Larry Talmadge and mother-in-law, Paula Cazeault, along with the dozens of other loved ones (both mine and yours) who have been impacted by cancer.

While I ride in their honor and memory, I'm dedicating this ride to my wife, Sarah. Sarah was seven months pregnant when I told her I was thinking about participating in the PMC. She was immediately supportive - not remotely scared off by the thought of solo parenting an infant for a full weekend (on top of long training rides), the equipment costs for a first-time cyclist, or supporting me with my fundraising. She committed to all of it even before I did! She supports and inspires me every day and watching her embrace motherhood over the past five months has been one of the greatest joys of my lifetime.
