Hi Everyone,

I cannot believe it's already that time of the year again. I heard a quote a long time ago that said, The days are long but the years are short! I'm not sure I've ever believed a quote more than that one. The PMC ride is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to participating in another amazing PMC ride. But, I will be honest I'm scrambling again a little bit to the finish line in terms of fundraising ...... and even training. I said after last year... I wouldn't do that again. But, here I go again...

My reason for writing to all of you is #1 I wanted to thank all of you for supporting me with this cause over the years. All of you have been so generous and without your support I wouldn't be able to keep continuing with this great cause. Every PMC rider has a reason for riding. It's Your Why? I'd like to share with you my Why!

Cancer touches us all. I think we've all watched too many people we love and care for over the years battle this dreadful disease. My family and I have been impacted on a personal level by cancer. My father Don Brown, grandfather William “Pepe” Gould & step grandmother Marjorie Samra are cancer survivors. I'm also riding in memory of my grandmother Frances Brown. Unfortunately, she passed away on Saint Patrick's Day in the spring of 1999 after a grueling battle with cancer. All 4 of these amazing people helped shape me into the person that I am today. Their toughness, work ethic, passion, character, and values have not only had a major influence on me but my entire family. I'm honored to ride on their behalf and want to make them proud.

This will be my 8th year involved in the PMC. It’s hard to believe. Cancer doesn't take any time off so neither can we. As always, I'm anxious but motivated to make sure to honor my family and loved ones. I'm also beyond appreciative of my teammates from Boston Harbor Hotel. Riding in the PMC is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. It's an amazing group of men. I'm proud of our team accomplishments and the bound that we've formed.
