I ride in memory of my dearest husband and best friend, Yong Wang.

Yong fought a tough battle with pancreatic cancer after his diagnosis in August 2020 and passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 52. He remained positive and optimistic and loving to the very last day. He was an avid biker, even riding with me and his son Andrew to his Whipple surgery in July 2021, and he wanted to ride in the Pan Mass Challenge himself to help fundraise for cancer research. Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue from the PMC went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Yong loved his medical team at Dana-Farber and received state-of-the-art treatment, but the prognosis for pancreatic cancer is still very poor for most patients. I ride so that researchers and physicians are able to find cures to help patients like Yong in the future.
