Welcome to my fundraising page for my first Pan Mass Challenge ride!
The Pan-Mass Challenge is a 2-day, 186 mile bike ride from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA in Cape Cod that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. This year I am raising $6,000 with 100% pass-through to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 55 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue.
I have partnered with Team FLAMES, which has been in existence for 23-years and has collectively raised nearly $9.6M for cancer research. The FLAMES supports two key research departments in Dana Farber, both of which are focused on blood cancers: Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Blood cancer research discovery affects and is at the root of cancer discovery for all cancers – in any part of the body. Young or old. This unrelenting “open-source” clinical work within the non-profit Dana Farber Cancer Institute is leading the way, not only here in the US, but across the world. That is where the dollars I am helping raise go—all 100%.
As an avid bike rider, I chose to take on the challenge of the PMC to test my physical limits in support of finding a cure for cancer. More importantly, I am riding to honor my aunt Cynthia. Cynthia has fought and won multiple battles with cancer, and is fortunately still with us today. Cynthia helped raise me to to be the person I am today and continues to be a formative figure in my life, thanks to cancer research advancements like the ones I’m riding for.
I will be wearing the names of those whose lives have been touched by cancer. If you would like to add a name or names to honor them, please let me know and I will include their names on my bike jersey.
If you choose to donate, 100% of your money goes to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Thank you for your support!
