I’m thrilled to be riding in another Pan-Mass Challenge (“PMC”) as a member of Team Next Generation on August 3rd and 4th. As a quick reminder, the PMC is the annual bike-a-thon across Massachusetts to raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Back by popular demand, day one of the two-day ride will be on a tandem bicycle with my twin sister Maddie (photo evidence from last year below)!
The PMC has raised $972 million since its start in 1980 and is on track to raise over $1 billion dollars cumulatively this year. With your support, Team NextGen 100+ riders and dozen volunteers are aiming to raise over $800 thousand in this year’s ride!
Finally, Team NextGen is honored to be riding on behalf of our new Pedal Partner, Sophia. Sophia is a brave three-year old battling choroid plexus carcinoma. Outside of her current fight, Sophia loves to spend time with her one-year-old husky named Maverick, as well as her favorite movie characters, Olaf and Elsa from Frozen! I am thrilled to report that our past pedal partners – King, Zeke, and Cully – are all doing great, and we hope Sophia will soon join them as a healthy alumnus of the DFCI.
As the ride remains close to home and heart, I am also riding on behalf of all of those in my life who are fighting, or have fought, cancer.
I would be immensely grateful for any amount you might be willing to donate and thank you in advance for your consideration.
