Why I Ride ...
Thanks for taking the time to read my Biography!
I am very excited about returning as a participant in the 2008 Pan-Mass Challenge. Last year proved to be a very humbling and enlightening time. I and my fellow teammates of Team Access survived the ride but we had some bumps, bruises, and broken ribs but thankfully everyone has mended and we are preparing for our ride this year.
We are blessed this year to be associated with an amazing young girl of 5 1/2 years named Paisley Blu MacNeil. Paisley is undergoing treatment for Leukemia and is progressing quite well. I, and the rest of Team Access, had the opportunity to meet Paisley on May 10, 2008 at Fenway Park. She is truly an amazing young lady; wise beyond her years. Undoubtedly she will be an incredible inspiration. We look forward to riding on her behalf and personally for me she will add a new dimension to my riding and serve as a motivator when the legs start to slow down.
Last year's ride taught me more about the quality and importance of life...something that should never be taken for granted. So kiss a loved one today and embrace the life in your arms at that moment.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and hope you will consider sponsoring me during this year's Pan-Mass Challenge. My reward comes in actually participating in the ride, riding in honor of Paisley, and reaching my personal goals, your rewards come from knowing I carry the torch for all my sponsors and that your funds will be going to support the research for a deadly disease which I believe will be overcome with our collective efforts.
Humbly and with great appreciation,
Bill
