-I am riding as a member of the Pedal4Paul team in honor of a very good family friend, Paul Finkle, who fought a 2 year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Paul was incredible husband to Norma and father to Sydney and Justin. Sydney and Justin were siblings to me growing up, so Paul was like a second dad. As my own's father best friend, I fondly remember sailing trips with Paul, trips to Martha's Vineyard, and finding Paul in our driveway or garage tinkering on some house project with my dad (=grown men's excuse for a play-date). -I am riding in honor of Jeff Blum, a close friend, and father to my best-friend, Abby Blum. Jeff fought a tough battle with pancreatic cancer, and was a phenomenal husband to Cindy (Maxine), father to Abby, Samantha, Ethan and Rebecca, and a successful and well-loved pediatric dentist. The Blum's frequently hosted me for Jewish holidays throughout college in PA, and Jeff always made me feel like I was part of their very special family. Jeff was such an outstanding man, true mensch, and pillar in his community in Villanova PA that hundreds of people attended his funeral. -I ride for future patients of pancreatic cancer. It is absolutely critical that research is done so that this horrible disease can be diagnosed earlier and treatments can be improved. Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way.
