Dear Facebook Friends and past PMC Supporters:

We began our PMC/Dana Farber journey 20+ years ago in 2003. That first year neither of us had ridden 100 miles before, we had 3 kids under 5 so training rides were a luxury, and to be honest we weren't sure what we'd signed up for. It turns out we started an amazing 20+ years of incredible experiences, riding through emotional highs and lows, but always finishing and keeping the goal of cancer research our focus.

Over the years we've grown with the ride and the cause. Our daughters first rode in kid's PMC rides, then volunteered at these events, next they volunteered for the adult PMC ride, and for the past few years have ridden with us. It's pretty cool to ride as a family in support of such a worthy cause, and in memory of my mom, Heidi's mom, and so many others we all know who were lost to cancer.

This year the journey continues, on August 2nd and 3rd Piper and I will again be riding the PMC, while Heidi, Reilly and Jake will volunteer at the Bourne site, and Alden will be a medic at that location. The ride weekend will happen as it has in the past; we'll be back riding 192 miles from Sturbridge, Ma to Provincetown.

We are fully committed to this cause and all that Dana Farber does to find a cure for cancer. This is Heidi's 19th year of post-cancer health, and for that we're all grateful.
