This year, I’ve chosen to participate in my first ever Pan-Mass Challenge.
On Saturday August 3rd, I’ll begin the 2-Day, 162-mile bike ride from Wellesley to Provincetown in support of Cancer Research. I’m fortunate enough to be able to ride with Team Martignetti this year, and even more fortunate to be able to ride alongside my Mom (assuming I can keep up of course) as she rides her 12th PMC.
The Pan-Mass Challenge raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country! Since 1980 it has raised $972 Million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and this year will be the year we surpass over $1 Billion raised. Best of all, the PMC contributes 100% of all rider raised revenue directly to the Dana-Farber.
Let’s face it, whether directly or indirectly, just about everybody has been affected by Cancer. For me, I have watched several close family members, friends, and friends’ families deal directly with this horrible disease. I’ll be riding this year with all of them in mind and will be working to do my part to help raise money and awareness to find a cure for this brutal disease.
I’ve set a goal to fundraise $7,500.00 for the cause this year so, if you can, I would truly appreciate you supporting this great cause with a donation of any amount.
Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions about donating, as there are many ways to do so.
Thank you in advance for your support in my ride and towards this incredible cause. Who knows, maybe next year I can even talk you into doing the ride with me!
