This will be my 3rd year riding in the PMC, and my 2nd year riding the 85 mile Wellesley to Bourne leg. I started riding in it in 2021, the year my wife Tara passed away after a 14 month battle with pancreatic cancer. I ride to honor her as a caring and supportive wife, a wonderful mother to our daughter Kaitlin, and a talented and dedicated physician. I also ride to remind myself how lucky I am that I am still able to ride and share the road with thousands of others whose lives have been affected by this terrible disease. Some are riding to honor spouses and family members. Some are cancer survivors who know first hand the challenges of fighting this disease. Some are the doctors and nurses who work with patients on a daily basis and know the progress that is being made every year. This year's ride is especially meaningful because it celebrates the impact that the PMC has had in this battle. It was recently announced that the PMC has raised over a BILLION dollars since it first started holding this event. This shows the determination and energy that is being brought to this fight. It is an honor for me to be a small part of it.
