Why I Ride ...
Riding the PMC and raising money for such a great charity which funds cancer research and treatment has been a fantastic and moving experience. Several years ago our pedal partner was the 8 year old daughter of one of my co-workers while I was at MFS who had been diagnosed with bone cancer. On the day of that ride she had been given fantastic news that the cancer had been cleared. Unfortunately, the cancer came back and after a 2 year fight, she died. I attended the wake and when it was my turn to meet the parents I was at a loss for words. It was there that I resolved to ride the PMC. This truly is a great cause and I will continue to ride because I can, for as long as I can.
To date the PMC has raised more than $170MM to help fund lifesaving cancer research and treatment at the Dan-Farber Cancer Institute. Every dollar raised by the PMC goes directly to the Jimmy Fund. If possible, please lend your support for the Jimmy fund so we can continue to fight this disease.
