I hope everyone is well. This year I am riding my 20th PMC to raise money and awarenss for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I am so grateful for all the support over these last 20 years. I am still committed to this cause and greatly appreciate all of your generosity throughout the years. Unfortunately, I continue to encounter the physical and emotional toll that cancer has on patients and their families. I witness this disease in patients and friends. I still strongly believe in the mission that we need to do all that we can to help further the medical treatment for cancer, provide the emotional support for families and loved ones, and make the investment into cancer treatment research.
As many of you may know, over the next several years, Dana Farber Cancer Institute is moving its affiliation to the Beth Israel Lahey Healthcare system, including a brand new free standing DFCI cancer treatment hospital. One of the early BILH oncology divisions merging with Dana Farber will be Gynecology Oncology. Our department of Ob Gyn at BIDMC is very excited about this transition, and know it will provide a great service for our patients.
As in previous years, all the money that you give will go directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institue to help treat cancer patients, explore new treatments for cancer, and help support the families of cancer patients.
I know we all work hard for our money. There is no dollar amount that is too small. I only ask that you consider making a donation, Give if you want and can, and only give what feels comfortable. I thank all of you for all your support in the past, and I thank you for your support now and in the future.
Every donation brings us closer by the mile.
