On August 5th, I will be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In honor of my grandparents Nancy and Bob Glynn, in honor of my friends taken from us all too soon, and in honor of those I love who have have overcome the odds and beaten cancer (some multiple times), I am honored to ride.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country - $547 million since 1980. Achieving this year's amazing $70+ million goal will come from the efforts of thousands of riders and volunteers with one mission: to win the fight against cancer. We are PMC and Now We Ride.
This is my third PMC, and I will be riding with my friends and colleagues from Advent International. I'll be riding 85 miles (you'll notice I originally signed up for the two day, but now being a pregnant rider of advanced maternal age, I'm making the executive decision to scale back to one day and promise to be smart about it). My training regiment got a touch disrupted by morning sickness. Any amount of money you can afford to donate will be much appreciated. You can support this great cause by clicking here: http://pmc.org/egifts/TP0173.
Thank you for any and all help! It is through smart, passionate philanthropy, like the PMC, that we will beat this disease.
