UPDATE: As many of you know, I wasn't able to ride the early August PMC two-day due to my broken collarbone. But I'm recovering...so on my upcoming birthday weekend 9/6-9/8, I will be riding a Reimagined PMC in memory of my neighbor Janice McGourty (RIP 3/5/24)....and now Judy McLeavy (RIP 8/6/24). I served with Judy in the Peace Corps...and her kindness continues to inspire us all. Please help me in my fundraising for this amazing cause to end cancer. Its hard to believe this will be my 10th year riding the PMC...but this is why we keep riding...no matter what!!!!
Last year, I wrote: Cancer keeps taking our loved ones. A neighbor up the street, the mother of a good friend, a mentor, the father of a good friend... Someday, I hope to be sharing a significantly different message. Last year we lost Scott...an awesome bike rider and person. I felt him with me on training rides through Marshfield. I will definitely be doing Day 0 again this year, riding on Friday August 2cd from the NY state border to join the start of the PMC. There's too many reasons not to ride that extra day....
....out of LOVE for LINLEY, in HONOR of Tia Elvira, and with inspiration from LIVING PROOF in Rich Murphy and Jay Mauro. Every minute I'm out on the road is in MEMORY of Janice McGourty....and Scott Hamill, Brad Shotola, Jerry Couto, Aldo Bartlett, Bob McCarthy, Catherine Martinez, Dana Junior's Mom, Joe Slocik and Joe Mazzola. Thank you so much for your support...<3
