In the eight years since I first committed to the Pan Mass Challenge, there's been tremendous progress in the fight against multiple myleoma. The work of Dana Farber's Dr. Anderson, for whom my Patriot Platlet Peddler's team proudly rides, has gone a long way to help secure better MM outcomes since this disease took Rich from us nine years ago. There's still much work to be done, however, as our loss of another family member aflicted with MM this week reminds us. That work will help us continue to improve MM prognoses, as well as pose significant ancillary benefits for the fight against all blood cancers with which MM shares many characteristics.
So, after a one-year COVID hiatus and last year's modest virtual fundraising campaign, I am again taking on the PMC in earnest to raise money for Dana Farber's life-saving research and compassionate care, in honor of Mom, Dad and Rich, and now our beloved Aunt Gail. This will be my seventh ride. Unfortunatley, due to COVID limitations, the full two day, 190 mile trek is still not possible A mere one day, 100 mile loop outside of Boston will have to suffice. I nevertheless hope I can count on all my generous supporters, yet again. Every single dollar donated goes straight to Dana Farber, through the Jimmy Fund, a model of fundraising efficiency.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and generosity!
