Yup, it’s that time of year!  Once again I am preparing to ride in my 12th Pan Mass Challenge.

Many of you know that I was diagnosed with breast cancer last November.  I was and am still shocked that I was diagnosed with cancer for a second time.  I am a very lucky woman.  After two surgeries, 28 cycles of radiation and several months of rest I am pleased to report that I am back to work on a limited schedule and well on the road to recovery. 

Being forced to rest was difficult.  I was not allowed to drive for well over two months.  Of course I cheated just once, it was super painful and I would NEVER do that again.

I couldn’t walk the dogs, shoveling snow was a No No and I was really disappointed because I wasn’t allowed to Vacuum!  I spent hours loving our dogs, cats and my fish named Bill.  Our pets have an amazing ability to give warmth & comfort.  They most certainly contribute to the healing process.

I read the Globe, the Times and numerous Veterinary journals.  I also watched TV and became smitten with Judge Judy (JJ).  Together we had a standing date M-F @ 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.  A Donald Trump news conference interrupting JJ was extremely upsetting. 

I am still struggling with some lingering fatigue and although I will not be able to do the entire Ride it is important that I try.  Cancer is everywhere it doesn’t discriminate.  Cancer hit our FAH Family hard last year.  Please celebrate my recovery by contributing to the 2017 PMC.
