Do you ever wonder if you’ve made a difference in the world?
I wonder that about myself.
And then I think…
- together, we’ve done the Pan Mass Challenge 23 times
- together, we’ve raised more than $110,000 for Dana-Farber
And now, as we ‘gear up’ for our 24th ride on August 3rd and 4th, organizers are projecting that this year we’ll cross the ONE BILLION DOLLAR mark in cumulative fundraising for Dana-Farber.
At the Heavy Hitter dinner last month, Dana-Farber’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Craig Bunnell, noted that, As the largest single contributor to the Dana-Farber, the PMC has allowed the Institute to be the driver of change. There’s not really anything that the Dana-Farber has accomplished that isn’t, in some way, attributable to the PMC.
Dana-Farber is known around the world for its cutting-edge research and excellence in patient care; it was a key contributor in securing FDA approval for 35 NEW cancer drugs. And people diagnosed with cancer are living longer and better than ever before.
So, if you WERE wondering if you’ve made a difference in the world, the answer to that question is a resounding YES!
I hope you’ll join me again this year as we approach this monumental milestone, or as the PMC is calling it, our ONE IN A BILLION celebration. Please go to www.pmc.org to contribute.
As always, thank-you so much for being part of this ride with me. I couldn’t do it without you!
All my best,
Ted
