Last year, I thought that riding the PMC to raise funds for cancer research would be a one-time bucket list item. Boy, was I wrong! The 184-mile, two-day journey was an awe-inspiring experience and one of the highlights of my year. The ability to make a difference in the fight against cancer, the camaraderie, the scenery, the sheer grit of pushing my limits – it was unforgettable. So I've signed up again and am gearing up for the PMC 2024, with over 750 training miles already logged.
But the true impact lies beyond the personal. In 2023 as a first-year rider on PMC Team Dolben, I raised over $8,000 individually, and collectively as a team we raised over $207,000! In 2024, we aim to surpass that and help drive the PMC's fundraising total past the $1 billion mark. Every dollar counts in this fight, which is why 100% of your donation goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, fueling groundbreaking research and life-saving treatments.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $972 million since 1980 and $72 million in 2023 alone! This success wouldn't be possible without the countless individuals riding, donating, volunteering, and sharing the unwavering belief in a cure.
