I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I'm excited to be riding in my first PMC on Saturday, August 6th. I signed up to ride this year to support cancer research, give myself a fitness goal for the year, and find a way to re-connect with co-workers I haven't seen as much of during the pandemic. Cancer is a disease that has touched my family multiple times over the years. However, as the calendar turned to the new year, cancer hit our family once again, with my Mom's lung cancer diagnosis. My Mom fought bravely, but ultimately passed away in March. I ride in her memory.
As a member of Team Fidelity, I'm riding with close to 50 Fidelity associates and families who are riding in remembrance, celebration and support of family, friends and colleagues. We also ride for our Pedal Partner, Willa Mooney. Willa is a courageous 9 year old who has battled a brain tumor for the past few years. Willa is a great example of the great work that has been done with the help and support from the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Faber Cancer Research. Willa was diagnosed with a tumor 3 years ago, but after successful surgeries and treatments, she is a thriving young woman, able to enjoy all the joys and experiences of childhood she deserves.
While great strides have been made in cancer research, there is still much to be done. Please help me in supporting this casue by donating on my page. Any amount helps.
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
