This August, I’ll be riding 163 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown MA to raise money to fight cancer with the Pan Mass Challenge. Though it’s my first year riding PMC, I’m joining Team F.L.A.M.E.S, an amazing team that has been in existence for 23 years and have raised nearly $9.6M for cancer research with 100% pass-through to Dana Farber. The team has a direct connection to Dana Farber, with many doctors, researchers and scientists on the team, as well as cancer patients, survivors, family members and friends.

I’m riding in support of two dear family members, both recently diagnosed with cancer. I’m also riding in honor of the many other people I know, young and old, who have been touched by this awful disease. I am riding because I feel helpless and want to do something to help find a cure, so that getting a cancer diagnosis at any age doesn’t mean your life is over.
