Why I Ride ...
Thank you for choosing to support my 6th PMC ride and the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
A little bit of background on why the PMC is so important to me:
As a camper, JC, and counselor at Cape Cod Sea Camps, I had the opportunity to grow up cheering on the PMC riders at Da Hedge every summer. I watched my family members, friends, and counselors ride in honor of loved ones who battled cancer. After losing my Aunt Jane in 2017 to uterine cancer, my mom joined the fight, riding for team Cape Cod Sea Camps in her honor. The following summers when my mom rode, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the finish line in P-town, helping as a lug-nut with riders' luggage. In 2019, what ended up being my one and only summer on staff at CCSC, I decided that 2020 would be my first ride, to honor my Aunt Jane. Since then, I've had the privledge of riding on team Cape Cod Sea Camps, in honor of our thirteen team captains, my Aunt Jane, and other close friends and family members who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
