Introducing
Team HOT WHEELS 2012!
~Missy
McCauley, Laura Cohen, Eva Liner,Caroline Goldman and Theresa Shultz~
On August 4th and 5th we will ride our bikes 163 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown in the 33rd annual Pan-Mass Challenge!
To do our part, we have each committed to raising $4,200 for the Jimmy Fund...
together we CAN make a difference! Donate today and help us KICK CANCERS ASS!
As a team we ride in honor of our two previous PMC Pedal Partners Kevin and Krysta:
Kevin is 6 years old and is currently fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since September 2009, Kevin has been receiving
treatment at Dana-Farber's Jimmy Fund, and has been through countless ups and
downs. Cancer is an everyday reality for Kevin, his awe-inspiring mother Cara,
WT and his three year old sister Hannah. We are honored to ride in support of Kevin and his family as they
cope with this disease. Kevin is 6 years old and has a personality the size of
Texas! Kevin's courage, perseverance and ever-present
humor gives us strength and determination.
To quote Kevin speaking to his little sister…"Hannah,
this Leukemia is trying to get me, but I won't let it. It picked the wrong kid
to mess with."
Krysta: Also, we are delighted to announce
that our 2009 Pedal Partner, Krysta Kalajian has
been cancer free since June 2010! Krysta's diagnosis with Hodgkins Lymphoma
occurred in December 2008 when she was a senior at Framingham High School. She has since graduated High School and is attending Syracuse University as a fashion design major.
We've come to know Krysta dearly as the inspirational, hard working young woman
she is. We love you Krysta!!
