Our company, Blackdog Builders, has long believed in coming together as a team to try to make a difference. We have done this with golf tournaments, we have done this with volunteer building projects with Habitat for Humanity, and others. We have also done room makeovers for sick kids and supported local food shelters. While those have all been wonderful activities and had a positive impact, it is different than riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge.

Sadly, I think it is just about impossible to live today and not have your life impacted by cancer in some way or another. Whether it is a family member, friend, or co-worker, I don't think there is anyone I know over 20 years of age who has not been impacted in some way. Cancer is such a pervasive and indiscriminate disease. It plays no favorites and does not seem to care if you are young or old.

We put together the Blackdog Team because we want to be a part of a cancer-free future, and until we are, we want to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
