Dear Friends and Family,
As a cancer survivor, I’m contacting you in the hope that you will support me and Team A-Bam in our ride to raise funds to seek a cure for cancer.
On August 2nd, 3rd and 4th I'm going to do my seventh Pan-Mass Challenge, a two day - approximately 200 mile bike ride from Stockbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA. As Team A-Bam has done in the past, we are going to add an additional day/100 miles for a Day Zero ride on August 2nd (for a total of 3 days/300 miles).
The first year I rode to support Alex Bamford, Mark Bamford’s son, who is now cancer-free. For the last several years I have had an additional reason: I’m a cancer survivor. One month after 2017’s Pan Mass Challenge I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. I had surgery to remove it, but a year later cancer returned. I went through radiation and some tough drugs for a year. So now, like other cancer survivors, I hope that the disease will remain in remission. Needless to say, I’m devoted passionately to this cause.
I appreciate your taking the time to read this story, and encourage you to support Alex, me and Team A-Bam by making a donation to Team A-Bam. Your donations will go directly to funding cancer research and fighting this disease. To donate, please click on the nearby hotlinks.
Thank you!
