Why I Ride ...
2020 will be my 10th year riding the PMC, even if it means setting out on my own version of the ride this year because of COVID-19! Once a year I get to hit back at cancer and do my little part to help find a cure. I'm joined this year by both of my daughters, Hayley (9th year) and Jamie (1st year rider!). This year I'm riding to honor the memory of Abbe Miller, a 30-year volunteer at the PMC, who recently lost her courageous battle to lymphoma.Abbe and her husband Pascal were always in Franklin pumping up riders and were also generous donors to a number of riders including this one.
The PMC is special for many reasons, but the fact that 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is important to me. We need to find a cure and it won't happen without the support of many.
Committing to the PMC is a lot of work and a tough ride, but it is nothing compared to what families endure battling cancer. All of us have been touched by it. I hope you'll consider assisting me in my fundraising to help Dana Farber end cancer in our lifetime.
