I hope that you are well. Thanks to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and support from friends like you, Gale is doing incredibly well. Almost 3 years ago, Gale was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She had a 12-hour, robotic Whipple procedure on July 1, 2021, endured 6 months of chemo, then began her gradual recovery. The world-class team from Dana-Farber saved Gale's life through early diagnosis, extraordinary surgery, an aggressive chemo regimen, empathetic and skillful nursing care, and boundless support. Gale's sense of humor, incredible resiliency and everyone's prayers really helped, too. We remain optimistic about her recovery.

I've almost recovered from my back fusion surgery and have promised Gale and my on-call orthopedic surgery team (!) that I'll never get hurt again. Hence, I've retired from riding during PMC Weekend, but will be a virtual rider. 100% of your donation will go to Dana-Farber's Pancreatic Cancer Tumor Bank, a critical resource for improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. Gale and I will continue to support the PMC and Dana-Farber’s Pancreatic Tumor Bank, and we hope that you will consider doing so, too!
