Hi friends,
This August, I’ve decided to ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a bike-a-thon that raises money for life-saving cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I’ll be riding 85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne, MA in a one-day leg of the event, as part of Team Biker’s Dozen.
I joined the team through my college friend Mila, who I studied Architecture with at Pitt. Mila rides in memory of her sister Ellie, who passed away from DIPG, a rare and aggressive pediatric brain cancer. DIPG has a near 100% mortality rate, and research remains painfully underfunded.
This ride also holds personal meaning for me. My uncle, Bob Watson, rode in the PMC for a decade and I’m proud to be continuing that legacy in my own way this year.
I’ve committed to raising $4,000 or more, and every bit of it goes directly to research and patient care. If you’re able, I’d be deeply grateful for any donation. If you know someone else who might be interested in supporting this cause, I’d really appreciate you passing this along.
Thank you so much for your support!
With gratitude,
Tate Agnew
