2025 PMC
I am honored & excited to ride the PMC for the 5th year! Time FLIES when you have an amazing team, an incredibly supportive family, the most generous & encouraging friends and one phenomenal cause. Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $5,000 in 2025. Every dollar counts - 100% of rider donations go directly to Dana Farber.
Why I Ride?
As always, I will personally be riding to honor the memory of my mother Cilla Weatherbee, who was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease Amyloidosis by Dana Farber in 2010. This year, sadly a few "Angels" have been added to our roster.
My dear friend & kick-a** member of the PMC Community Dan Warn lost his brave battle with brain cancer this Spring. Dan took me on my first official training ride in 2021 and was often the first & most encouraging person in my world to check in and send me words of encouragement during training & on PMC day. I ride for Dan and his incredible family, knowing they received the best possible care at Dana Farber Cancer Institute for what was ultimately a brutal, incurable form of cancer. Dan, you will always be the man & I know you'll be pushing me up any hills that stand in my way!
I also want to mention 18-year Tyler Robinson, son of Weatherbee-family neighbor and friend Michael Robinson, who lost his courageous fight with a rare pediatric cancer, Osteosarcoma. Tyler lost his life way too early, and I will ride to honor his spirit and his inspiring story.
On a positive turn, our Pedal Partner - 9 year old Mia Lee of Needham- was diagnosed with Leukemia while in preschool with my daughter Lucy and successfully completed her treatment at Dana Farber in 2023. Mia is thriving and living her best 9 year old life…dancing in recitals & crushing the field hockey fields. Mia and her family are an incredible reason to donate and support the PMC. And on our very own Arlington Angels, our Captain Steve Mansfield and Rob Hegarty are "Living Proof" riders; there couldn't be 2 more inspiring teammates to ride along with on PMC day.
100% of rider donations go directly to Dana Farber. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, over $1 BILLION since 1980 and $75 million in 2025 alone! I have committed to raising a minimum of $5,000 and our Team Arlington Angels has set a fundraising goal of $200,000.
The PMC continues to be a life changing experience. Every time I hop on my bike to ride- whether a longer training ride, a class with my 'spin squad' or for a beach cruise down the street- it is a reminder of how incredibly fortunate I am to be healthy enough to raise funds and ride the PMC for Dana Farber.
As my teammates & I will set out from Wellesley and ride to Bourne (85 miles on Saturday August 2, please know that every single donation brings us "closer by the mile"!
Let’s do this!!!
