I'm Back!
After a two-year hiatus from the Pan-Mass Challenge, I’m thrilled to say—I’m finally back in the saddle!
July 21st marks the two-year anniversary of my diagnosis with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Since then, I’ve undergone extensive treatment, including months of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. It sidelined me for a while, but I refuse to let it take me down. I have so much to live for—my sweet grandson BoBo and the imminent arrival of Perry and Anne’s baby any day now!
Now, as I near the end of this long and difficult journey I’ve finally started feeling more like myself again, I’m ready to return to the work of helping advance cancer research through fundraising. I’ve experienced firsthand the power of the groundbreaking research and care that Dana-Farber makes possible. I owe so much to the people and progress that helped me when I needed it most. That’s why this year’s PMC ride will feel deeply personal—because I’m riding as a survivor.
We’ve come a long way. Millions of dollars have been raised—100% of which goes directly to cancer research at Dana-Farber. That’s the power of community, of collective action, and of unwavering commitment to finding a cure. The funds raised through the PMC make a real difference in the lives of people like me—providing hope, healing, and support through every stage of the fight.
This year I humbly ask you to consider donating to my PMC fundraising goal. Your support means more to me than ever—and it means the world to those still facing their own battles with cancer.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Susie
