I am asking for your support as I just completed a 192-mile cycling adventure on August 3 & 4, 2024 to help raise critical funds for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This endeavor is part of the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), an event that has made a profound impact in the fight against cancer since 1980.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was founded in 1947 by Dr. Sidney Farber. Initially established as the Children's Cancer Research Foundation, it has since grown into one of the world's leading cancer research and treatment centers. The institute has been instrumental in developing targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and personalized medicine, providing new hope for patients with various types of cancer. I am writing this letter in memory of my Mother, who passed away from breast cancer in 2016 after a courageous six-year battle. Her strength and resilience continue to inspire me every day. I am also riding to honor those who are currently fighting cancer, including my aunt Helene Walker, my cousin Mark Hopkins, my friend's mother Janet Hehir, and my Team Velominati mate Scott Logie. Their battles remind me of the importance of supporting ongoing research and advancements in cancer treatment. Cancer affects not only those diagnosed but also their families and loved ones.
