I'm a proud participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge - a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country - to bring us Closer by the Mile to a cure for cancer.
I ride as a cancer survivor, and for those in treatment who are relying on the research and life saving care provided at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. But I also ride for those less fortunate than me. Those whose lives were cut short, who unlike me, didn't live to see the development of breakthrough treatments and cures. Amazing people, friends and loved ones: Caroline, Betsy, Carolyn, Bob, John, Derek, and countless others. This is my second year of riding, and last year I was able to exceed my goal of $6000; I raised over $7000, all thanks to your generous donations. This year, I'm hoping to achieve heavy hitter status: $10,000. If you're able, I would be humbled by any donation you could make towards this goal. No donation is too small! If you're unable to donate at this time, please send some postive thoughts for good weather conditions and a safe ride on August 2-3. Thank you!
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact! Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal.
