Dear Friends & Family,
YES, I’m riding again this year for the 20th consecutive year! And look at the calendar, we’re less than 2-weeks away from this year’s ride! I sound like a broken record but sorry, once again, for updating my profile page so late. Millions of excuses but nobody cares because cancer marches on.
First, I’d like to thank you for helping me continue to raise the bar & set another personal high-water mark for fundraising in 2023! Your support continues to be overwhelming and YOU’RE the reason the Pan Mass Challenge is such a huge success! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your generosity and for staying with me through the years.
Briefly, my 2023 ride was a smashing success! I was in good shape, the weather cooperated, and I only fell once (tipped over, really) while trying to clip into my pedals at the starting gate on Day 1. Just a bruised ego, luckily, but it sure was embarrassing! I met many great people along the way, both on and off the bike and I finished with SO MUCH gratitude and emotion that I couldn’t wait for this year’s ride. A couple of quick pics below which catch a bit of the anticipation, excitement, and relief of completing the ride.
~ Sorry, I couldn't figure out the editting process to insert my 3rd pic of
Sturbridge, MA Start, Day 1 ~ 110-miles & many hours later ------------- the P-Town finish on Sunday. I was happy and smiling!
But that’s old news. On to 2024 and this year’s ride, my 20th consecutive year riding and helping to raise money for Dana Farber, The Jimmy Fund, and cancer research and care. It’s such an important cause that I’ve been committed to now for 20 years. Once again, I ask to tap into your overwhelming generosity in supporting my ride.
To help you understand and appreciate the PMC ride and mission a little better, here are several interesting and amazing bullet points that help to explain how important your support is:
Please consider supporting my ride again this year. It will be my 20th consecutive year riding and for the 19th time, I’ll be riding from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA, about 192 miles, over the weekend of August 3rd and 4th. Whether it’s $25 or $2,500, EVERY DOLLAR IS IMPORTANT!!! The easiest way to donate is to go to the PMC Website at www.PMC.org and press the red Donate button in the upper right corner of the screen. Then just type in my name, Skip Sullivan, and your contribution amount. There are credit card payment and other options on the donation page depending on what works best for you. If you’d rather send a check, please make it out to The Jimmy Fund, and send it to my office address:
Electro-Prep, Inc.
c/o Skip Sullivan
8 Kendrick Road, Unit 1
Wareham, MA 02571
Thank you so very much for your consideration and support ~ you’re amazing! And as I ask every year, please root for 71-degrees (or cooler) and cloudy for PMC weekend, that first weekend in August. It’s only one weekend out of your pool, beach, and boating season and rainy and cool is a LOT better (for me!) than hot and sunny!
Best Wishes to You and your family and please enjoy a Fabulous remainder of your summer!
