Cancer is a tragic disease that wreaks havoc on families, friends, and communities. Unfortunately, it has woven its way into many chapters of my life. Two years ago, my father was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Witnessing the discomfort, pain, and suffering caused by the disease was a traumatic life experience that has led me to make many life changes. Additionally, with my father now in good health, it has inspired a tremendous appreciation for the field of medicine, particularly those who are involved with cancer research.
For many years, I've watched and cheered on the riders who participate in the PMC as they ride by my in law's home in Cape Cod. Last year, given the events of the previous year, I decided that 2024 would be my first time completing the route myself. It was by far the most moving and inspiring experience of my life, and I am looking forward to participating again in 2025.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Please help me to kick cancer to the curb by donating!
